Follow up to Wednesday afternoon incident at Barfield Crescent Park:

A man who told police that he was God was apprehended by Murfreesboro Police at Barfield Crescent Park on Wednesday afternoon. Police went to the park to check on the suspicious subject because he was seen walking down the sidewalk wearing only his underwear.

No word on what exactly was going on, but we can tell you that WGNS did receive inquiries about the incident. We did learn that the man was transported to Middle Tennessee Medical Center by way of ambulance. The police incident report suggested the 23-year olds father was on the scene when police arrived and he was said to be just as confused about the incident as police were.

It is important to note that no arrests were made and because of the fact that the situation may have been medically related, we will not be releasing the subject’s name.

In an unrelated story, but just as odd at Barfield Crescent Park:

About 8-months ago, an unknown man was seen wearing a red morph suit in Barfield Park. The subject was evidently jumping out in front of walkers along the paved trail that goes down to the Stones River. The culprit in that case was yelling at park goers as well while wearing the body suit that covered his face. WGNS' Scott Walker witnessed the subject first hand. The man fled the area by the time police arrived. No arrests were made.
