Former Rutherford County Sheriff Candidate Ralph Mayercik announced his endorsement of TBI Agent and Independent Sheriff Candidate Dale Armour.  Mayercik added, "I can't begin to fully express my gratitude and appreciation for the support of my family, friends and supporters over these past few months.  Although I am disappointed that the local Republican Party was unwilling to let the voters choose the best candidate to represent our party, it remains my goal that we restore the dignity and professionalism to the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.  It is with this goal that I announce my enthusiastic endorsement of Dale Armour to be our next Sheriff.  I hope that my supporters will join me over the next few months to do all that we can to make this a reality."

Armour started his law enforcement career as a Patrol Officer and Field Training Officer for the Murfreesboro Police Department from 1979-1986.  Armour then worked as a Special Investigator for the Tennessee Highway Patrol from 1986-1996.  Armour has since worked as a Special Agent for the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.  He has been a member of the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force and has been serving on the FBI Violent Crimes Task Force since 2012. Armour has apprehended over 1,000 criminals over the course of his career.
