3 Watches, a men's wallet, cigarette lighters, an X-Box game, Walking Dead DVD's and shoes were some of the items allegedly shoplifted by a local resident at Walmart on South Rutherford Blvd. in Murfreesboro. While the items don't add up for a huge loss, it does highlight a growing problem we are seeing in Rutherford County.

According to police reports obtained by WGNS, we are seeing a growing trend of thieves stealing from businesses.

In this incident that unfolded early Thursday morning, 18-year old Brandi McAdoo was arrested on 2nd offense theft charges, simple drug possession charges, consuming alcohol under the age of 21 and public drunk charges. She is currently free on bond.

As heard in past news stories, shoplifting in Murfreesboro and throughout America, drives prices up for corporate and local businesses.
