Mourning the Loss of Stephanie Dinkins

It is with deep sadness that we report the passing of Stephanie Dinkins, the wife of WGNS sportscaster & Wilson Elementary principal Jon Dinkins.  Stephanie lost her long battle with cancer last (Thursday) night. She is also survived by her daughter, Samantha Jackson and her husband Brett, along with two granddaughters. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Dinkins' family in their loss. Stephanie Brannon Dinkins age 55 of Murfreesboro, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday October 10, 2013. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late William Ray and Frances Louise DuBois Brannon.

Funeral service will be 10:00am Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Doyle Hayes and Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. Dinkins is survived by her husband of 35 years; Jon Dinkins, daughter; Samantha Jackson and her husband Brett of Murfreesboro, two grandchildren; Alli Grace Jackson, Mia Kate Jackson, brother Gary Brannon and his wife Joyce of Murfreesboro, sisters; Debra Brannon of New York, Donna Fyvie and her husband Bob of Panama City Beach, Florida, and brother Steve Brannon and his wife Brigett of Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Dinkins was a member of Unity Baptist Church and was bookkeeper for Barfield Elementary School.

Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
