On Wednesday evening Murfreesboro Police issued a "Silver Alert" for a missing 58-year old heavy-set white male. Donald Maynard was last seen with an unknown black male at 12:30 Wednesday afternoon by his daughter-in-law while they were at Walmart on the Old Fort Parkway.

Murfreesboro Police spokesperson told NewsRadio WGNS that the daughter-in-law saw him with a 6-foot tall black male who was in his 20s and had dreads. The unknown suspect was wearing a white shirt and jeans. It is thought that Maynard was attempting to purchase an iPhone. Maynard's family told police they have no idea who the black male was.

The subject has the mental capacity of someone who is around 8 or 9 years old, and has a slow walk with a limp. Maynard was last seen wearing black pants, a black shirt and green jacket.

He was seen leaving the Murfreesboro Walmart with the black male in a silver Chevy Sonic with South Carolina license tag JCJ-216.
