Around 8:30 Tuesday night, an MTSU co-ed told university police that she was in the campus parking lot on Rutherford Boulevard when a tall, slender, light skinned male with freckles approached her. The possibly mixed race male was wearing a grey hoodie and brandishing a switch blade.

An investigation is underway, and it's not known whether actions by the victim or other students entering the lot, caused the suspect to flee on foot.

MTSU Police are asking that anyone who may have seen suspicious activities, or saw someone matching this description, to contact them at 615-898-2424. Public Information Officer Broede Stucky will release additional information later. Stay tuned to WGNS News.
