MTSU Black Out Game This Saturday

The Middle Tennessee Athletic Department announced that Saturday's home conference game against North Texas will be the football program's annual BLACK-OUT game. The Blue Raiders will wear their black uniforms and all fans are encouraged to wear something black.

Fans can wear Black-Out shirts from previous years or stop by Lightning's Locker Room or Ideastees on 910 Ridgely Road to pick up the 2012 edition. The shirts will be $10 at Ideastees and will be sold on campus at Lightning's Locker Room on Friday, Oct. 26 from 10 AM until 3 PM. The campus store will also be open on gameday at 9AM.

Saturday's game is also the 31st Annual Salute to Armed Services/Veterans Day with numerous activities slated to honor the U.S. Armed Services.

10:30 AM - 2:30 PM: Department of Veterans Affairs VA Tennessee
11:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Veterans Memorial Service at Tom H. Jackson Building
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Pre-Game Picnic at Hall of Fame Building
1:00 PM - 1:30 PM: Presentation of the Joe Nunley Award
2:30 PM: Kickoff vs North Texas

Halftime: A special patriotic salute to U.S. Armed Services!

Also of Note:
Silent Auction benefiting Toys for Tots will be setup inside the Hall of Fame and the Marines will be setup at each gate to collect toys as well.
Game Coin will be delivered by UAS Department on campus.
Coin Toss performed by retired SSG. Daniel Bivens. Two-time Combat Veteran and Purple Heart Recipient.
Boys and Girls Scouts will be in attendance.
National Anthem performed by retired Sgt. Joe Wilson Sr.
