Peter J. Cothran, 26, an MTSU student, is accused of engaging in aggressive physical contact with a 23-year-old South Nashville woman who agreed to go out with him after meeting through the Internet.  The victim alleges that Cothran groped and bit her at her residence despite her admonitions that she was not interested in that type of conduct.  Cothran is free on $5,000 bond.  The charges against him have been bound over to the Davidson County Grand Jury.

Any women who have had contact with Cothran through a dating website or other Internet means is urged to contact Detective Jason Mayo in the police department’s Sex Crimes Unit at 862-7540.
