Detective Steve Brown, whose concentration is the Smyrna area, says burglars typically only commit crimes in a particular area...

Brown says one of the keys to breaking this crime spree was a homeowner in Wilson County, who had a digital video surveillance system. The description from that video helped authorities identify the vehicle involved in the pursuit and link Churchhill to the crimes. Thirteen burglaries have been linked to Pecan Ridge Drive man and more are pending. Some of the burglaries occurred as far back as June of this year. It's believed Churchhill may have been involved in up to 30-home break-ins in Rutherford, Wilson and Williamson Counties. Detectives say it's still an active investigation with more charges possible against Churchhill.
