Multiple shell casings were found after a shots fired call was reported on New Years Day around 1 in the morning. The incident was reported on Academy Street in Murfreesboro.

The subject who called the police said that about 20 individuals were in the street when gunfire rang out. The caller then observed a fight followed by several more shots.

When police arrived, no one would admit to hearing or seeing anything. However, authorities recovered spent shell casings from a .40 caliber gun, a .25 caliber weapon, a .22 and a .38.

The good news is that no injuries were reported. The bad news is that no arrests were made.
