Murfreesboro 2035 Task Force Meeting, Wednesday

The Murfreesboro 2035 Task Force gathers Wednesday, June 17 to hear a presentation from consultant Kendig Keast Collaborative (KKC) on Parks and Natural Resources as part of the process to develop a 20-year comprehensive plan. The meeting will begin at 5:30 and be held in the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce building on Medical Center Parkway.

The Task Force will gather to hear a presentation from consultant Kendig Keast Collaborative (KKC) on draft Chapter 6, Parks and Natural Resources, as it relates to Murfreesboro's quality of life, community character, and growth capacity. The Task Force is part of the 2-year process of developing a comprehensive plan for the City of Murfreesboro called Murfreesboro 2035: Our Future Begins Now.

KKC will also present a critique of the land development code to the Planning Commission at the regular scheduled meeting, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 1 p.m., and a mid-point briefing of the comprehensive plan process to the City Council, Thursday, June 18, 2015, beginning at 5 p.m.

Murfreesboro 2035 is a community-wide process to plan for the next 20 years of growth and development. The final results of the two-year planning process is the City of Murfreesboro's Comprehensive Plan, a community guidebook that specifies policy, program, and project initiatives for the City. KKC is also preparing to submit drafts on draft Chapter 4, Land Use and draft Chapter 3, Mobility.
