Murfreesboro's Barker & Christol advertising and public relations received three AAF Nashville ADDYs at an event this past Saturday. The company was recognized for work on the 2014 ADDY Awards for the American Advertising Federation.

"The ADDYs are the industry's standard for recognizing the best creative marketing and advertising," said partner Steve Barker. "It was a privilege to be asked to apply our skills and talents to promote an event honoring the best in the industry. For that work to be recognized with it's own award is certainly humbling."

Barker & Christol received two silver ADDYs and one gold ADDYs for their work, "IlluminAddy's". The campaign poked fun at the ad industry's cult reputation by, in fact, creating a cult, complete with a handbook of vernacular, secret symbols and handshakes. The integrated campaign included experiential, print, digital and video elements. It won rave reviews from the industry throughout the year.

Barker & Christol's project team included Steve Barker, Brooks Christol, Lee Rennick, Autumn Shultz and Malynda Resh. The complete project can be viewed online at 2015Addys.com.

The agency won two ADDY awards last year for hot sauce labels for The Blue Porch and catalog covers for Sanders Manufacturing. In all, the Barker & Christol has earned six awards in just over three years.
