Murfreesboro Ambulance Owners Receive Federal Prison Time

A couple from Murfreesboro has been sentenced by a federal court to prison for identity theft and Medicare fraud. Seventy-year old Woody Medlock, Sr. was sentenced to 75-months in a federal prison and 58-year old Kathy Medlock received a 70-month sentence. Last May, the Medlock's were convicted by a jury on the charges related their business, Murfreesboro Ambulance. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Medlock's submitted fraudulent claims over one-point-two million dollars and received nearly 458-thousand dollars in fraudulent Medicare reimbursements for ambulance transports. The release went on to say the Medlock's used their ambulances as taxpayer taxi cabs. Woody Medlock, Sr. and Kathy Medlock were arrested in four-years ago.
