Even after 2 weeks off, a rather mundane meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council, on Thursday, November 8th.  In fact, the most interesting item of the night wasn't even on the agenda at all; that would be the rumors of a new Walmart store being built at Memorial Blvd and Airport Road.  Because that land is already zoned, building would not require the approval of the council in order to proceed, and in fact, it's not a council matter at all.  However, knowing the great public interest in the project, council asked if the planning commission could reschedule the date of their meeting on the matter in order to allow more of the public to attend, open up that meeting for public comment, and hold a neighborhood meeting on the issue at a separate date beforehand.    The details of those meetings will be publicized as soon as they are solidified.
