Murfreesboro City Council, 2-9-12

The Murfreesboro City Council, minus Mayor Bragg, who is out of town, set some pretty big plans for Hobgood Elementary at their February 9th meeting.  City schools superintendent Dr. Linda Gilbert outlined the changes.  Later this month the city will implement a new policy to pay police officers for their mealtime hours, a policy adopted by most surrounding areas to compensate for all of the requests from citizens and work related calls officers receive, regardless of being on a break.  A public hearing has been set for March 15th to vote on rezoning 0.34 acres along Bradyville Pike to Multi-Family Residential, and finally, the city will soon reclaim a little extra money, under the Unclaimed Property Act.
