New and returning council members took the Oath of Office, administered by Judge Ewing Sellers at the May 3rd meeting of the Murfreesboro City Council.  Appointed to fill the position of Vice-Mayor, previously occupied by Chris Bratcher; Mr. Ron Washington.  Additionally, in slight contrast to previous reports, no water and sewer rate change was voted on at the meeting, but rather an agreement to be responsible for debts from the loans used to pay for future projects, which may or may not manifest over time as rate increases.  The loans in question were approved for application.
