School attendance is up. September, 2015 figures show 98 per cent attendance at Murfreesboro City Schools.

Possibly due to the free breakfasts, tardiness is down dramatically.

Murfreesboro City Schools saw an 8.3 per cent increase in students last year. So far, this year has shown a 3.8% increase.

They are now in the process of an addition program at Hobgood Elementary.

Next year, there will be a 10-room addition at Black Fox Elementary.

A new school is being planed for the City Schools' system over the next 3-years.
