When authorities questioned the man who was coherent and helping his friend, they learned that his buddy had overdosed while injecting heroin. After the overdose, the friend allegedly hid two syringes and two spoons under a bush outside the store. The so called friend also admitted to police that he too was injecting drugs, but his drug of choice was cocaine.

A short time later officers went to the hospital to check on the man who overdosed on heroin. He was awake and somewhat oriented. The man admitted to being a heroin addict.

Both of the men received charges for possession of drug paraphernalia. They have to face the misdemeanor charges in a Rutherford County Courtroom in the near future.
