Murfreesboro Homeless Task Force Reaching Out to Churches for Help

The Mayor’s Homeless Task Force in Murfreesboro is reaching out for help. The group of volunteers is attempting to get several churches involved in allowing for homeless members of the community to stay the night when temperatures dip during the winter months. Evidently, there are not enough homeless shelters in Murfreesboro for the amount of persons living on the street.

Pamela Morell with the task force told WGNS…

If you would like to help, contact Morell at 615-663-9548.

By the way, WGNS collects blankets for the homeless. Drop off your new blankets at our studio at 306 S. Church St., next door to the city police department.
