A robbery of beer is what the police report suggested.

44 Year old Jermaine R. Johnson of Murfreesboro is accused of entering the Middle Tennessee Market on Middle Tennessee Boulevard and demanding a beer. When he entered, the clerk told police he asked her to "give him a beer," which she refused. The report went on to state, "She advised that he again asked for a beer and she refused." The victim told police that when he asked a third time, he threatened her with violence if she refused.

The police officer who filed the report wrote that she said she was in fear for her safety and gave the subject a beer. Johnson then took the beer and left, according to the victim.

Minutes later police got a phone call regarding someone threatening to rob the Tiger Market down the street from the Middle Tennessee Market. Officers quickly responded and made contact with the suspect. As it turns out, the suspect was identified as Mr. Johnson, who was previously accused of threatening the other clerk if she did not give him a beer.

At the Tigermart, Johnson allegedly told the clerk that he was going to rob him and the "people outside" after asking for directions to Nashville. The clerk notified security who called the police. MPD Officers caught Johnson at the store.

Johnson was charged with "Robbery" and will appear in court on July 20, 2016. He remains behind bars under a $7,500 bond.
