Murfreesboro Police recently arrested a man who told officers that he had been smoking K-3. The arrest came after the suspect fled from police, ran over a stop sign and then into a ditch, according to an arrest report.

Police made contact with driver Demond C. Woods after he wrecked on Hazelwood Drive in Murfreesboro. The police officer who made the arrest wrote, "Mr. Woods was mirandized and during questioning advised he had been smoking K-3 for several hours." K-3 is a synthetic cannabis that can cause intense anxiety, a rapid heartbeat, tremors, seizures and even death.
