Murfreesboro man arrested for 27 vehicle break-ins in Williamson Co.

Williamson County Sheriff's Office Investigators have found the man who was wanted for seven home burglaries and 27 vehicle break-ins in the county last year. Fredrick Carney, 25, of Murfreesboro is charged with multiple counts of auto burglary, home burglary and vandalism after a grand jury indicted him on 84 charges. He was already in jail on another burglary charge when deputies served the papers on him last week.

Carney became a suspect after a stolen laptop was traced to his apartment. Investigators later found more than $20,000 (dollars) in stolen merchandise inside the apartment when they served a search warrant.

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office has returned some of the stolen property to owners, but there are many items that have not been claimed.
