Murfreesboro Man Killed in Nashville Wreck, Driving on Revoked License

Antrail Robertson of Murfreesboro was killed in a Nashville car wreck on Sunday. The wreck occurred on Murfreesboro Pike and involved a second car driven by a LaVergne man by the name of James Watson. 57-year old Watson was not seriously injured in the collision. Metro Nashville Police say that 32-year old Robertson was likely speeding which contributed to the accident. Robertson was not wearing a seatbelt and was driving on a revoked license.

Prior to the wreck, Robertson was arrested in Murfreesboro on Friday morning. On Friday, Robertson was charged with driving on a revoked license for the 6th time. The North Highland Avenue man was also charged with possession of a schedule two and a schedule four drug. He was also charged with resisting arrest.

From Nashville Police:

The man fatally injured in this Sunday’s two-vehicle crash on Murfreesboro Pike near Old Murfreesboro Pike is identified as Antrail Robertson, 32.

Robertson, of Murfreesboro, was traveling westbound on Murfreesboro Pike in a 2001 Buick sedan when he struck another westbound vehicle, a 1996 Mercedes 420 driven by James Watson, 57, at 4:30 a.m.  The Buick collided with a utility pole.  Robertson, who was not wearing a seatbelt, died on the scene.  Watson, of Lavergne, sustained non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary contributing factor to the collision appears to be excessive speed on the part of Robertson.
