A Murfreesboro Pastor is in trouble with the law, allegedly for illegal drug sales. According to the indictment, Michael Whitsey allegedly made $375-thousand through the sale of narcotics. Whitsey is listed on the Abundant Life Christian Center church website as being an apostle, that was his official title.

The federal indictment claims that Whitsey and others conspired to distribute narcotics. The indictment lists nine questionable deposits made by Whitsey into various accounts between the dates of May 2008 and December 2008.

The U.S. Attorney is asking for all property purchased with the money in question to be seized. That includes property at the Abundant Life Christian Center in Murfreesboro. In the past, Whitsey operated a church in Antioch which abruptly closed in 2011. Bankruptcy filings show the church owed $41,000 in rent and over $40,000 in unpaid taxes.
