MPD announces the graduation of two Lieutenants from Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command

The Murfreesboro Police Department is pleased to announce the recent graduation of Lieutenant Steve Teeters and Lieutenant Jimmy Puckett from the School of Police Staff and Command at Northwestern University. Lieutenants Teeters and Puckett successfully completed the ten (10) week Police Staff and Command program held in Nashville, Tennessee.
 
The School of Police Staff and Command provides upper-level college instruction in a total of twenty-two core blocks of instruction and nine elective blocks. The major topics of study include: Management and Management Theory, Organizational Behavior, Human Resources for Law Enforcement, Budgeting, Staffing Allocation and Personnel Deployment.
 
The Murfreesboro Police Department congratulates Lieutenant Steve Teeters and Lieutenant Jimmy Puckett on this accomplishment and anticipates a variety of benefits to the Department and City. Past graduates include Deputy Chief Michael Bowen, Major Eric Cook and Major David Hudgens.
 
MPD will host a Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command ten week course beginning September 24, 2012 at the Patterson Park Community Center.
