The Murfreesboro Police Department recently accepted a donation from the third grade classes at Overall Creek Elementary. The children donated part of their fundraising campaign to the Drug Abuse Resistance and Education (DARE) program.

"The funds will be used to continue to educate youth on making good choices and participating in activities that do not involve drugs or violence" said Sergeant Greg Walker, supervisor of the School Safety and Education program. "We are honored that these third graders chose to invest in assisting kids throughout the City. We will use this money to continue to educate our youth and make a difference, one child at a time."
