Murfreesboro Police investigating the stabbing of an 18-year old

A man was stabbed in his upper torso this past Friday and police are investigating the incident in Murfreesboro.

According to reports, the stabbing occurred in the parking lot of University Ridge Apartments across from Walmart on Rutherford Boulevard. The victim said the incident happened during an altercation with an "unknown subject," according to the police report.

A witness was questioned by police, but when officers searched his car and found a digital scale in his glove box with a white powdery substance on it, he fled on foot. The subject was caught a short distance away and police charged Isaac Hughes for evading arrest, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia.

18-Year old victim Brandon Pewitt was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. The condition of the Thompson Station teen has not been released.

So far, no charges have been filed in reference to the subject who may have stabbed Pewitt. In fact, no word on who that subject may have been as Pewitt told police he did not know the mans name.
