Officer Ricky Haley, a member of the Murfreesboro Police Alcohol Countermeasures Team (MPACT), was recently recognized as one of middle Tennessee’s “Officer of the Year” from the Governor’s Highway Safety Office (GHSO).  Officer Haley received this award because of his efforts to keep Murfreesboro streets safe from drunk drivers.
The Murfreesboro Police Department was also honored with GHSO’s “Seat Belt Enforcement Award” for the middle Tennessee region for the Department’s efforts in the 2013 “Click-it or Ticket” campaign.
Chief of Police Glenn Chrisman stated: “I am proud of the efforts of Officer Haley and of all police officers who work hard to keep Murfreesboro streets safe every day.  We are thankful for our law enforcement partners, especially the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.  As we conclude 2013 and start a new year, we will continue to work together to reduce traffic crashes and improve safety on our roads.”
