A 34-year old Murfreesboro woman reported that her purse was stolen out of her parked car on Christmas Eve and authorities are working to nab the criminal. The vehicle was at the Thompson Lane Greenway Trailhead when the theft occurred as the female was out walking.

The subject, who was captured on a nearby Dollar General Store video surveillance camera, went on a spending spree with the victim's credit card. Evidently he spent over $600 at the Dollar General less than a mile away from the Greenway trail.

Another victim reported that her vehicle was also broken into at the same Greenway parking lot. Evidently, someone saw the suspect and his three accomplices drive away in a dark navy or hunter green four door Chevy Impala. However, the license plate number was not obtained.

At the nearby Dollar General Store, police obtained a copy of the security video footage and later released a photo from the recording to WGNS.

If you recognize the suspect pictured in the Dollar General Store, you can turn him in and remain anonymous by calling 615-893-STOP (7867). You will also be eligible for a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
