There was a shooting reported at a small apartment complex on (2915) Old Fort Parkway near Gresham Lane on Wednesday night that landed one man behind bars. Police responded to the apartment after dispatch received a call that shots were fired and a female was screaming in the breezeway of the apartment.

When police arrived they realized that no one had actually been shot, nor did they make contact with a screaming female, according to the report that WGNS obtained on Thursday. Chase Randall, age 24, told Murfreesboro Police that a “Brandon Fraser” shot at him during a disagreement over money. After firing the gun in the vicinity of Randall and missing, Fraser reportedly fled the scene in a car.

M-P-D Officers later made contact with the suspect and after a police interview, he was charged with “Aggravated Assault.” 23-year old Fraser was booked under a $21,000 bond and later released on Thursday morning. He will face the courts in the near future.
