A man currently living in Murfreesboro met with police and his lawyer at the MPD headquarters on South Church Street Wednesday to file a fraud report. The victim told police that a woman swindled him out of over $7,000 in recent months. The woman allegedly told the 39-year old victim the cash would allow for his brother to obtain an immigration waiver. The fees paid to the woman who works at a fast food restaurant on Cason Lane included a payment for what she called an immigration bond.

Police have the name of a suspect who happens to have an immigration related background herself. The female is said to be of Hispanic descent and her alleged target has a similar background as well. She has not been arrested at this point, but reports indicate she not only works in Murfreesboro but lives here too.
