Murfreesboro's Martin O'Connell Died In Accident At Nissan

50-year old Martin O'Connell of Murfreesboro has been identified as the man killed in a tragic accident Friday morning at Nissan in Smyrna.

The incident occured outside of the Breakout Center, a parts delivery warehouse. O'Connell was delivering his trailer to a nearby storage yard when the rig began to roll and pinned the Murfreesboro contract driver. 

In a corporate press release, Nissan North America offered sympathy to Martin O'Connel's family of the deceased truck driver. They also noted, "The safety and well-being of our employees is Nissan's top priority. The company complies with all workplace safety laws and regulations. We will work with authorities to fully investigate what happened, with a focus on helping to prevent future occurrences."
