Name released in Fatal motorcycle wreck in Smyrna Thursday morning

At approximately 2 am this Thursday morning, Smyrna Police responded to a report of a possible motorcycle crash on Nissan Boulevard near the Lowry Street overpass. Responding officers did locate the motorcycle and operator.

The operator, Ross Ullom (age 36) of Murfreesboro, did not survive the crash and the Smyrna Fatality Crash Team responded and took over the investigation.

Initially, it appears that the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a guard rail. It does not appear that any other vehicles were involved prior to the crash.

This is still an open and active investigation. It has not been determined if alcohol or drugs were a contributing factor.
