National Night Out is Tuesday Evening

The Murfreesboro Police Department will partner with the Murfreesboro Housing Authority and other public safety organizations to host National Night Out Against Crime Tuesday August 4, 2015.

National Night Out is an opportunity for residents to meet their neighbors, law enforcement officers, public and elected officials, and other community service providers in an informal setting with the goal of increasing communication about crime prevention. Seven sites will host Night Out activities from 5:00p.m. until 8:30p.m. Free activities for children and families will be provided at each location.

The seven sites include: Patterson Park Community Center, Sports Com, Rogers Park, Oakland Park, Franklin Heights, Spring Valley and Greenhouse Ministries.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to interact with the police officers that patrol their neighborhoods" said Chief of Police Glenn Chrisman. "We join communities across the nation in sending a message that Murfreesboro residents and the MPD will work together to fight crime. Together, we will continue to make our community a safe place to live and work."
