A 28 year Murfreesboro woman has been arrested at an Old Fort Parkway motel after police noticed a new Audi with Rutherford County tags parked outside the room that showed one of the owners had an active warrant. The warrant was from the Columbia, Tennessee Police Department that included charges for possessing a felony amount of meth in a school zone.

A call to the front desk led police to room 316. However, the woman wanted on the drug charge was not staying in the room. Instead, a female named Chassidy Jade Garland and a male were said to be in the room. It was later learned that Garland was on felony probation for a Negligent Homicide conviction.

A call to the Probation and Parole board led a parole officer to the motel to meet with police. Police then monitored the room entrance and hallway through the hotel security system cameras. As officers watched, they saw a man exit the room wearing a latex surgical glove. The man was carrying a trash bag in his hand and when he saw police, he allegedly dropped the trash bag and continued walking.

When police asked the male what was in the trash bag he responded, "Trash." Police then searched the so called trash and found a soap box that contained a silver pill container that had methamphetamine inside of it. Also found in the bag was a digital scale with drug residue on it. The man told police that he was asked by Garland to remove the trash, not knowing what was inside of the bag.

When the Probation Officer showed up at the room, authorities searched the purse belonging to Garland and found marijuana. They also questioned her about the meth that was found in the trash bag, which she claimed "Some of the meth in the bag," was hers.

When police asked Garland if she sells meth she reportedly said that she drives her Audi to the Walmart on Joe B. Jackson Parkway to conduct transactions. She reportedly told police that she only sells to five or six people.

Detectives seized Garland's 2016 Audi A7 and placed her in custody. She was charged with felony possession of a schedule 2 drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $16,000. Her court date will be this coming December.
