New home under construction broken into in Murfreesboro

A new $220 thousand home under construction in Murfreesboro was broken into and thieves made off with some heavy items.

According to the report filed by Fox Ridge Homes, unknown persons entered the home between New Year's Eve and January 4, 2016. After getting inside, culprits took a stainless steel dishwasher, a microwave and a range. The kitchen appliances were valued at over $1,300.

In the process of stealing the appliances, the thief or thieves damaged a door frame and broke a cabinet door.

A second home on Milkweed Drive in Murfreesboro was also broken into. A police report shows that the subject who broke into the second house took the refrigerator and the oven. They also destroyed a downstairs hardwood floor in the process that was valued at more than $4,000. The theft was reported by Beazer Homes out of Nashville.

So far, no suspects have been named.
