Newborn Baby Test Positive for Drugs

PrintA Smyrna woman has been charged with the reckless endangerment of a newborn baby. Sara M. Adkins was arrested after a grand jury in Rutherford County was presented with her case. Adkins was arrested after her newborn baby tested positive for opiates, marijuana and benzodiazepines. The local woman will appear in circuit court on January 16th.
