The Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) Foundation has announced the revival of The Commonwealth Society, an organization of young professionals and future leaders eager to explore issues surrounding healthcare.

The Commonwealth Society was created by past MTMC Foundation Board Member, Jean Moser, in 1995 to provide a forum for young leaders of the Rutherford County community to learn about and explore issues surrounding one of the most complex and consequential basic needs impacting Americans today- healthcare.

Young Professionals

The current class consists of 17 young professionals who have demonstrated leadership abilities in the Murfreesboro and Rutherford County community.

"Since 1995, we have had outstanding classes of young professionals from our community who have become ambassadors for MTMC by promoting community awareness of the quality and value of services at MTMC,” said Gordon Ferguson, president and CEO of MTMC. “I am very excited about the stellar group representing the 2013 class.”

Members of the current class are Charles Avent, Rachel Bragg, Lenae Cheek, John Dietrich, Meagan Flippin, Ted Goodman, Elisabeth Harper, Ashley Holloway, Julie King, Caroline Lampley, David LaRoche, Ben Parsley, Spencer Provow, Dara Ramsay, Kristan Roberts, Rebecca Upton, and Becky Vealey.

By Invitation

Active membership is for one year and is by invitation. The Commonwealth Society is not a fundraising organization. MTMC provides program support and materials free of charge. The class has four consecutive monthly meetings beginning at 7:30 a.m.

Middle Tennessee Medical Center (MTMC) is a member of Saint Thomas Health, Middle Tennessee’s faith-based, not-for-profit health care system with more than 6,500 associates.
