Verbatim: Thursday night the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation arrested a Brentwood man in what the TBI labeled as a "multi-county iPad theft ring." He was arrested and charged with one count of theft between $1,000 and $10,000.

In August of 2012, the District Attorney General requested TBI to investigate a theft ring where individuals were shoplifting iPads from area Walmarts and selling them to 30-year-old Ngoc Vo Ngo. In an operation conducted Thursday, Ngo purchased 9 iPads for $2,100 from law enforcement in Nashville. Ngo was subsequently arrested. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department and Wal-Mart loss prevention department assisted in the investigation. Ngo was booked into the Davidson County Jail and released on bond.
