Two men accused of credit card theft in Murfreesboro and Smyrna BACK behind bars

Two men accused of using stolen credit cards in Murfreesboro and Smyrna earlier this year are back behind bars. After Modesto Sanchez and Carlos Delpino were arrested in February on fraud related charges, they were able to make bond and leave Rutherford County before additional charges could be filed. The two were said to have gone back to Florida.

In January, the two men allegedly used stolen credit card numbers from Regions Bank that were affixed to different credit cards at area Walgreens stores. In one case, the culprits were accused of trying to use 14 Different credit cards with one cashier. The manager at the Mercury Boulevard store in Murfreesboro told police that the cashier who ran the cards was new to the job and she attempted to run 14 cards before 2 of them went through.

26 Year old Sanchez , was picked up by authorities early (3/26/13) Tuesday morning on charges of criminal simulation and theft of property. His bond was set at $60,000 and he remains in the local jail. Delpino, who is 22 years of age, was taken into custody on Monday. He too was charged with criminal simulation , theft of property and identity theft. He remains jailed under a $64, 500 bond in the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center. If Delpino comes up with the cash to post bond, he will not be released because he is also wanted on numerous charges in Florida.
