Donna Bebout’s work with the city of La Vergne came full circle when she was named the new director of the La Vergne Public Library on April 8. In this leadership position, Bebout will supervise operations and plan programs and services offered by the library.
Bebout served as the library director for two years before accepting the position of senior center coordinator in 2007. “I have always loved working with at the library,” said Bebout. “It is exciting that in this position I will be able to continue working closely with our senior population, but will also be involved with the lives of citizens of all ages.”
The La Vergne Public Library has 68,604 catalogue items and more than 34,000 patrons. In addition to the opportunity to check-out items, patrons can also participate in approximately 50 different programs each month.
"It takes a very talented and hardworking library staff to offer these quality programs,” said Bebout. “It is an honor to work with this extraordinary staff. I am also looking forward to providing outstanding library services to the citizens of La Vergne.”
Bebout holds a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Middle Tennessee State University.
