Possibly the Second Rape Within the Past Three Weeks Now Under Investigation

There have been more and more reports of rapes in recent years involving females who have allegedly been drugged in Murfreesboro. An allegation reported Monday (May 6, 2013) in the ‘Boro indicates that a female who was at a party says a male made a drink for her and she remembers little after the intake of that beverage. It is what may have happened after that drink was ingested that she has concerns about.

The female believes she may have been the victim of rape because of a particular situation that her roommate described to her the following day. That roommate allegedly overheard the reported victim tell a male whom she was said to be in bed with to “STOP.” Instead of breaking up what may have been a sexual assault, the roommate simply left the room, according to the report on file at the MPD. The victim further stated that she was “sore” the following day, which could be another sign of a sexual in nature assault.

The case is now under investigation and charged could soon be filed against an individual who has been named as a suspect by the victim.
