Woman Allegedly Raped, Left in Restaurant Bathroom and Found by Employee the Following Morning

An investigation is being conducted in Murfreesboro revolving around an alleged rape case. The 23-year old victim was reportedly out drinking when she was invited to head to a Mexican restaurant on NW Broad Street for shots of tequila. The following morning, a worker at the restaurant found the woman passed out in the women’s restroom. Instead of calling the police, the worker scrolled through the female’s phone and called someone to pick her up.

A friend of the female picked the woman up and transported her home. Her roommate later suggested that she was possibly drugged and raped by the men who invited her to the Mexican restaurant.

Little information has been released on the case and it is being investigated by the Murfreesboro Police Department. The owner of a local business was suggested in the incident report as being someone who was allegedly with her at the restaurant. Names are not being released until an arrest is made. The description of offense on the report states, “Rape Investigation.”
