This week it’s a unique individual…who not only has gone the extra mile one time…but has consistently served our community for 26 years.  You may remember the time that Burgess arrested a robber who was bicycling away from a Georgetown Lane home. He was “off duty”, but didn’t stop him from getting the bad guy. And there was the time Officer Burgess was credited with saving a woman’s life in a domestic confrontation. Another time, Eddie Burgess was credited with thwarting a bank robbery. For 26-years, Murfreesboro Police Officer Eddie Burgess has been putting his life on the line…to make this community better for all of us.  I for one, say THANK YOU Officer Burgess—you continue to make a difference in Murfreesboro.  We THANK YOU for your dedication and professional service over the past 26-years, and wish you well in the future.
