U.S. Department of State announces special visit to Murfreesboro

The U.S. Department of State "Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations" have notified WGNS that they plan to address the public on Tuesday, April 22 in Murfreesboro.

State Department official Jason Lewis-Berry will deliver remarks on “Conflict Prevention and Response after Iraq and Afghanistan.” The official will give the address at 9:30 in the morning on the MTSU campus.

A Director of Overseas Operations in the State Department’s Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, Lewis-Berry has served as Field Representative for Lord’s Resistance Army Issues and as Chief of Staff of the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team. He has also led missions in Turkey (for Syria), Mexico, Bangladesh, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
