Murfreesboro Police say they found a bag of marijuana under a baby seat inside an East Sevier Street apartment. Officers reported they made “consensual contact” with a man and a woman outside of 411 East Sevier on Thursday evening and smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the apartment they were in front of. Police asked to speak to the man inside the apartment and the two outside granted consent to search the unit.

Once inside, Officer Howse met with Halat Soro. During a search of the living room, Officer Howse found a bag of marijuana underneath a baby seat next to the television. Police then ran a warrants check on 31-year old Soro and it was revealed that he was wanted in not only Rutherford County, but also Williamson and Davidson Counties for various charges. Needless to say, he was taken to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and placed under a $75,000 bond for violating his probation. He is also being held on charges from the other counties without bond.
