1. The Rutherford County Sheriffs Office is now taking applications from persons who wish to take the next Citizens Police Academy. This 15-week program covers all aspects of law enforcement, and it is absolutely FREE. A criminal background check will be run on all applicants, and there is a maximum number of persons allowed in the class. For information, contact Sgt. 3. The 9-11 event this year at the Rutherford County Sheriffs Office is being scaled-down to be 100% tribute to honor those who made the supreme sacrifice, instead of having a carnival atmosphere. Sheriff Arnold is moving the "carnival portion" to the RCSO Halloween event.
