County Mayor Ernest Burgess covered these topics:

At Walmart on S. Church a division comes out onto main road in the right away and will cause a bad wreck. It's dangerous, especially on a rainy night.

Why is Walmart closing stores and opening 2 grocery markets here in Murfreesboro?

Exit onto Almaville Road from SR-840, there is a big hump that you drive over--2 humps, one on exit and another hump at beginning of Almaville Rd.

County received $1-million grant for recycling. They asked County Mayor Burgess to tell more. He said it was a "matching grant". This one composts food waste from city schools.

Concern with Halls Hill Pike, just past Blankenship farm at McKnight bridge, where road is sinking and there are dips in road.

Very rough spot on Veals Road, it will tear-up cars, between John Bragg onto Double Spring, before Bradyville Pike, near trailers.

What are plans for widening Jefferson Pike between highway 231 and SR-840 (near Wilson Elementary). It is first on the list, but this has been going on for 15-years. Their first area starts at 840 going into Smyrna, the other direction is not even on the drawing board. Plus, there is a backlog for road construction--no money!

Her subdivision was at one time considered being annexed into the city (Deerfield Estates, between I-24 and Fortress Blvd. in the Blackman area). Another listener called later and said court action said the project was in a "holding pattern". It said those who did not wish to be annexed could stay out, and City had to pay all court costs.

County Mayor Burgess outlined progress on new Judicial Building and the parking garage. Probably, March 4, 2016, for ground breaking--then 18-months for completion. There will be secured underground parking below the Judicial Building. It can double as space for emergency.

Why is Elams Mill Rd. a gravel road? Will Greenway ever go to Elams Mill? Why is there no park there?

Question about Judicial Building garage, will there be an over road enclosed connection? It could happen in the future, but now---NO!

Will Joe B. Jackson be extend ? Yes, it is in the "long term county plan". It will happen when that area develops. There is no funding now. Listener said debris on Richland-Richardson Roads is in ditches.

Are there plans to reevaluate the PROBATION SYSTEM? Mayor Burgess said that it is a complicated legal matter now, and will take time to work through the court systems.

Mooreland Lane listener asks who determines paving the road? Half of the road is paved, the side near Andy Adam's home.

Listener is tired of seeing all of the trash and old TV on the streets (Lokey around Bradley School).

Mayor Burgess notes that after 33-years, Shirley Jones is retiring. She has served as the primary purchasing person in the county mayor's office.
