Mansfield is well known to the MTSU family, having earned her degree here and going on to be heavily involved in as an alumna through various committees and other roles over the years, including as president of the MTSU National Alumni Association.

During these first two months on the job, Mansfield has been listening to MTSU deans, industry leaders and other key stakeholders about what their visions are for deeper collaborations and figuring our how she can help bring those visions to reality in her new role. Of course, a key component of her position is building and sustaining relationships with industry partners that lead to financial support that benefits our students, many of who will form their future workforces.

"That's what employers want access to, is our top talent," she said. "I will be an advocate ... my job is to showcase the value of MTSU.
