Chancellor Robert Corlew has ruled that the plaintiffs involved in the Mosque lawsuit against the county have a right to a trial without jury. The judge dismissed Rutherford County's request to dismiss the case and as scheduled the case to begin at 1:00 o'clock this Wednesday (4/26/12).

The lawsuit is based on whether Rutherford County provided adequate public notice concerning approval of the complex on Veals Road at Bradyville Pike.

Earlier Chancellor Corlew ruled that Islam was a religion and that the 250 local members of Murfreesboro Islamic Center were indeed crowded with only 2,250 square feet of space on Middle Tennessee Boulevard.
